The Basset Barn, LLC
Raised like family from the very beginning.
We are a family-centered Basset Hound program in Paris, Texas. Our puppies grow up in a hands-on environment with calm handling, clean surroundings, and the everyday attention that helps them become confident companions.
We believe finding the right puppy should feel personal and straightforward. Families can expect honest communication, thoughtful updates, and support that continues after pickup day.

Raised with five children and plenty of love.
Basset Hounds are well known for being loving, affectionate dogs. At The Basset Barn, that naturally sweet nature is nurtured through everyday family life.
Our dogs grow up around our five children—four boys and one girl—and are gently handled and loved on by children just about every day. They experience the sounds, movement, play, and affection of a busy home as they learn what it means to be part of a family.

American Kennel Club registration
Registered from the very beginning.
Every adult dog in our program is AKC registered, and every Basset Barn litter is registered with the American Kennel Club. Registration details are discussed with each family and included in the Puppy Purchase Agreement.
Joining the waiting list does not create registration or breeding rights. Those rights are established only through the completed Puppy Purchase Agreement.

We will coordinate your puppy’s pickup in Paris, Texas, or at a designated meeting spot, and help you prepare for the transition home.

Our buyer materials include a Basset Hound Puppy Owner’s Guide and Records Binder—a practical place to keep important information together as your puppy grows.
We also ask families to stay in touch if circumstances ever change. Helping protect the lifelong well-being of our dogs matters to us.
